"Life is good" Children's Sweatshirts Recalled by RedEnvelope; Garments Have Drawstrings, Pose Strangulation Hazard
WASHINGTON, D.C. - The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation with the firm named below, today announced a voluntary recall of the following consumer product. Consumers should stop using recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed.

Hazard: | The garments have a drawstring through the hood, posing a strangulation hazard to children. In February 1996, CPSC issued guidelines to help prevent children from strangling or getting entangled on the neck and waist by drawstrings in upper garments, such as jackets and sweatshirts.

Description: | The recalled sweatshirts have "LIFE IS GOOD" written on the front in sewn-on letters. They were sold in children sizes small (6-8), medium (10) and large (12) with drawstrings through the hood. Sweatshirt colors include dark and light blue. |
