Hanna Andersson Recalls Children's Loungewear Due to Burn Hazard

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation with the firm named below, today announced a voluntary recall of the following consumer product. Consumers should stop using recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed.

Hazard:

The recalled garments fail to meet the children’s sleepwear flammability standards. The Crossover Tee and Lounge Pant sets were marketed as loungewear. The Cropped Johns were not marketed as loungewear, but could be used as loungewear. The children’s sleepwear flammability standards require sleepwear, including loungewear, to be either snug-fitting or flame resistant.

Description:

The Children's Crossover Tee and Lounge Pant set and the Cropped Johns have the name "Hanna Andersson" on the sewn-in label. The Crossover Tee and Lounge Pant set and the Cropped Johns were sold in girls' sizes 80 cm through 160 cm. Women's sizes are not subject to this recall. Hanna Andersson stores nationwide, and through the Hanna Andersson catalog and Web site from Summer 2004 through November 2006 for the average price of $35.
